Top 9 Summer Movies!

Alrighty, here are my top 9 movies (I've only seen 9, lol) of the summer! Starting with #9:

9) Knight And Day

Thought it was a good, fun and cheesy movie. Goofy and action packed which is why I enjoyed it. I love me some Cameron Diaz.

8) The Karate Kid

Jaden was charming and Jacky Chan is...well, awesome. Bad asian dude looks a lot like Conway. Jerk (no, not Conway, lol).

7) The A-Team

Movie was dope but I was kinda' expecting more. Great story and great action.

6) Despicable Me

I honestly thought it would be funnier but it was still pretty funny! Charming and cute (only the little girl) and definately worth a watch.

5) Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

It's probably in my top 5 because I can relate to it, lol. Nah, but this movie was really refreshing and original! Loved the whole metaphor thing going on throughout the whole movie. Hella' funny, too!

4) Salt

Angelina Jolie is sexy. 'Nuff said. Nah, but this movie is hella' twisted..a little too much which is why it's 4th. Dope movie though, good story!

3) The Expendables

I don't care what you think, I loved this movie. It's freakin' badass! The scene(s) with the AA-12 is the best! Got a good laugh out of this movie...I love how it doesn't take itself too seriously. Dope movie!

2) Inception

The biggest mindfuck of a movie, ever! It's one of those movies that has you thinking HARD. Acting was great and the story was just bomb. This was real close to being first but...

1) Toy Story 3

I LOVED the first movie, loved the second...but Toy Story 3 was the perfect way to end the trilogy. Buzz is one of my favorite characters of all time. The animation, the voice acting, the story, the humor, the wit...this movie is just perfect! I'm not gonna' lie, I cried at the end. It brought me back to my childhood. I'm definately gonna' grab the DVD trilogy when it's out!
Well that's it. Maybe I'll do one for Fall? Or maybe I'll do an all-time favorites list. We'll see, but that's it for now so peace!

BOUTIQUE FREAK!

Check out DREAM's next upcoming event and my latest graphic!

This piece took me all day to finish! I feel fat, lazy, disgusting and greasy for staying up in this computer chair for hours but it was all worth it to see the final result. If you know me, you know I'm a perfectionist. Everything from making choreo, to folding clothes, to my graphic work. It took me a while JUST to find the original picture of the iPhone and when I did, ideas just started exploding in my head! It was a good feeling knowing I had some direction and some sort of image in my mind. Props to Jon for the concept (hand holding iPhone/iPod). All I did was really bring his concept to life and now we have what I feel is one of my best posters made to date. Really proud of myself...and also the fact that my t-shirt design for The Vibe has been exposed on TV in Norway as well as worn by all sorts of choreographers. The simple fact that people ask me to do this, not the other way around, makes me feel like I'm doing something right with this. It also amazes me that I've gotten this far into my graphic art without being formally trained at all. Yup, everything I know, I learned on my own. Gotta' keep pushing myself, though.

Bookmarked.

Another chapter of my life has ended. Possibly the best and worst chapter of my life. So much to learn from, so much to experience...so much energy, time, love...life. We gave each other our all. We had our ups and downs. Major ones. But til this day, I still feel like it's all worth it. You're my first love, my best friend. A memory that can't be replaced or taken away. My biggest learning curve, my biggest inspiration. This experience cannot be explained, it can only be lived and felt. You're still the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I'm satisfied with our relationship and where it ended up. I feel no more heartbreak, only pride. Pride for you, for standing up to yourself, for making the right decisions, to being mature, to knowing not only what you want, but what you need. Pride for myself, for being accepting, for learning, for growing up, for realizing that things happen for a reason. That things can be much simpler than you can imagine, only if you choose for it to be simple. Although love can be simple, falling out of it can be...complicated. But who's to blame? It's no one's fault.

No one can change the way they feel about something, or someone, in an instant. There's always a cause, an idea, a motive. A motive can be as simple as being complicated. Does that make sense? Sure it does. Falling out of love can't be controlled. Forcing love isn't genuine. I'll take our relationship for what it is; a very strong, very close friendship between two individuals who share the same passion in art and dance. Two individuals who experienced love and hate for each other, respectfully. Two individuals who experience trial and error, willing to share each others individual experiences in life to create goals, to find paths, to succeed in life, whether it's together, with someone else or on their own. A bond so strong, it's more than friendship. But that's really all there is to it.

This chapter in my life has been bookmarked. The last 365 days (1 year, to be exact) have been some of the most significant days of my life. Your love is "stained" in my heart, a stain I won't wash off because it's a reminder that someone is out there waiting for me to share the same love I had for you. Who knows, maybe it'll go 360 on our asses and come back to us. One can only hope, but that one isn't me anymore.

"I know they say the first love is the sweetest but the first cut is the deepest."
'Karaoke', Drake

To end this note, I just wanted to say...thank you. Not for being a good girlfriend, but because you were always there, ready and willing to be a friend. It's something I value more than anything between us. I love you and you're the best, Melay. I always told you, "don't forget that".

Unreal.

So the past month or so has just been...really interesting. A good kind of interesting. The kind where you look back and just realize how damn lucky you are.

Sometimes it feels so unreal that I'm back with her. It's hard to explain...but things just worked out the way it did and I couldn't be happier. I missed her so much...and the fact that I could hold her again...it feels like a dream, feels too good to be true...feels like there's only one word to describe it:

Unreal.
